Explanation

I used to write down quotes on notecards and tape them to my wall. And my wall of quotes became quite large. When I came across something quotable, I would say, "That's going on my wall!" My friends and family attempted to "make the wall" by saying something profound or witty.

Eventually, I had to take down my notecards. But as I did, I wrote them all down in a notebook. That became the wall.

And now, I've decided to take a precaution in case my house ever burns down. I'm going to put "the wall" on this blog.
